Human Resources Manager (Hillcrest)

Great opportunity exists within a successful, busy retail business based in the Upper Highway area.  Employing approximately 100–200 staff members, they require an organised and proactive HR Manager to oversee the human resources function for a busy retail store . The successful candidate will play a key role in recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, and ensuring compliance with labour legislation.  Minimum 3 years related experience is essential together with an HR qualification.   Must live in the Upper Highway area (Hillcrest, Kloof, Waterfall).  (Monday to Friday role)


Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the HR function for a workforce of approximately 100–200 employees

• Oversee recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new staff

• Manage employee relations, disciplinary processes, and performance management

• Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and company policies

• Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation

• Assist with payroll coordination and leave management

• Implement HR policies and procedures

• Provide HR guidance and support to management and department heads

• Promote a positive and productive workplace culture

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HR role

• Relevant HR qualification or diploma 

• Experience in retail or high-volume staffing environments advantageous

• Good understanding of South African labour law

• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

• Excellent organisational and administrative ability• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality


Package & Remuneration

R20 000 to R30 000 depending on experience
