Incredible opportunity exists within large Security Group that provides professional commercial security services across the UK, supporting retail, industrial, and corporate clients nationwide. They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Fire & Security Systems Estimator with a minimum of 5+ years estimating experience and 5+ years hands-on installation experience. This role supports remote or hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for fire alarms (I.S. 3218:2024), emergency lighting (I.S. 3217), fire extinguishers (I.S. 291), CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, AOVs, intercoms, monitoring, and maintenance contracts.
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents for full compliance.
Carry out remote or on-site surveys.
Produce BOQs, pricing sheets, labour breakdowns, and equipment lists.
Ensure all proposals meet Irish Standards and PSA regulations.
Product & Technical Expertise
Expert knowledge of fire and security brands, components, and installation methods.
Ability to select suitable technical solutions for all project types.
Stay updated on technologies and standards changes.
Collaboration & Project Support
Collaborate with engineering, service, operations, and project teams.
Liaise with suppliers for pricing and technical data.
Support tender submissions and project handovers.
Commercial Responsibilities
Prepare commercially sound quotations with accurate margins.
Identify value engineering opportunities.
Maintain updated cost databases and supplier pricing.
Experience (Essential)
Minimum 5+ years hands-on installation experience.
Minimum 5+ years estimating experience.
Experience with commercial, retail, industrial, and multi-site tenders.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Technical Knowledge (Essential)
Fire alarm design and cause/effect.
Emergency lighting design.
CCTV systems and networking.
Intruder alarm grading.
Access control wiring and hardware.
Full working knowledge of I.S. 3218:2024, I.S. 3217, I.S. 291:2015.
Skills (Essential)
Advanced IT proficiency (Excel, estimating software, CAD tools).
Strong communication and documentation skills.
High attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
